Occupy The Hood

Last couple of weeks, shootings on the block behind #myNeWBoYfriend’s new house, and then last night, unusual police activity in the middle of the night, gives me #riseup #occupythehood in full effect, this evening, my first sunset walk around the block I’m in while I stay here.

I don’t know, with the violent minds in the positions of authority and none of us actually, really thought we would ever be this violent as a nation, did we?

As I sit and reflect on the basic structure and values in my life, #IDoNotConsent to violent governments, I no longer support that system of government. I no longer support governments intent on being less than brilliant and are otherwise incompetent in their manner(s) of operations.

Basic survival of humans must have a government that empowers everyone, uniquely, and that does not use punishment and degradation to harm anyone. If we are able to expand beyond our planet, human survival must again become our modus operandi because the cosmos is huge beyond even that last hugeness you conceived.

With this earth, being as it is our “home planet”, is in jeopardy on too many scientific levels, if the 1% doesn’t begin some equity redemption road walking, the kind of neighborhood discord I see in my hood is growing to your’s soon, because our history teaches us that’s what happens next. #TakeAWalk #OccupyTheHood #KnowYourNeighbors #solidarity

The City that Seats The State Capitol

Every state in the United States has a capitol.  The City that plays host to that capitol has a special task to hold that capitol secure and accessible for the People.  Last year, I went to my state capitol, Sacramento, California, for the occupy national gathering. We arrived the day before, met up with the local organizers who had informed us of their typical police harassment they had been experiencing when news of the Occupy National Gathering was coming to Sacramento.  A small group of citizens that actually hailed from all over the world,we had no more than the Continental Congess except when we had our demonstrations and direct actions.

After hearing about the harassment of the local police and their promise of more, I went to the Sacramento City Council meeting and addressed my concerns for the gathering, invited the City play “a good host” as opposed to how they promised to show up in riot gear for our very little, sweet, but deliberate gathering.  Securing safe space begins with clear communication.  I think that if I give all government officials their position’s authority and expect, demand and require them to hold that authority as The People consent, they will ultimately do what the People consent for them to do, based on the continued informed direction from the People.
